A variance of +/-.5" is within tolerance. 

Fit Notes: Studio's Type II is very traditional. You should expect it to be boxy in the chest and slightly cropped in the waist. Tommy is wearing a size 40, as he learned his lesson from going too big in this jacket in the past. We would say the overall spit is pretty spot on for his specs. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
