SIN24-01W - Rope-Dyed Indigo Heavy Flannel Work Shirt - Orange, Green

This work shirt is crafted from a custom rope-dyed indigo heavy flannel fabric that blends the durability of denim with the cozy texture of flannel. The fabric’s dark blue indigo threads, typically used for denim, are combined with colored threads dyed using a special reaction process, allowing them to fade naturally over time. This unique composition creates a material that behaves like denim—developing character with wear—while maintaining the rich, textured coloring of flannel.

The striking orange (which we see as more of a yellow/orange) version of the fabric draws inspiration from joshikimaku, the distinctive curtains seen in traditional Kabuki theaters. To enhance its visual appeal, the weave structure has been adjusted to mimic the textured look of sashiko embroidery. Meanwhile, the black variation uses a subtle interplay of black and indigo yarns, which may appear understated at first but reveals a gradual ombre check pattern with extended wear.

Fit Notes: In general, Samurai tops fit a bit small, but they've created the "W" or "Western" cut in this piece to accommodate American sizing. Tommy was able to wear a large in this piece and still get that slightly boxy cut he was looking for. You can stick with your true size on this baby.  Tommy is 5'10,' 165lbs with a 40" chest. His North American size is M and his Japanese size is L.
