Designed as a lighter-weight alternative to the signature Ultra Heavy Flannel (UHF) shirts, Iron Heart’s 9oz selvedge unbrushed flannels offer the same classic styling in a more breathable fabric suited for warmer months. This season’s version features a timeless check pattern, presented here in the western cut with a black/indigo colorway. Slowly woven to enhance both heft and texture, the darkest yarns are indigo-dyed, while the lighter shades undergo sulfur cheese-dyeing, ensuring natural fading over time. With only four shuttle looms in Japan capable of executing this intricate weave - requiring a mid-weave weft yarn switch - these SS25 flannels stand among the most unique Japanese-made offerings of the season.

To distinguish this colorway from pure indigo variations, it is referred to as “black.” However, in person, the dominant hue appears as a deep indigo, gradually lightening with wear and washing.

Fit Notes: Tommy is wearing an XL in the pictures for that roomier work shirt vibe. That has been his standard size in almost all shirts and fits just the way he likes - roomy without looking sloppy. We recommend you size up at least once in all shirts from Iron Heart. Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest.
