Lot 301 - Strong DENIME Baseball Cap - Indigo

Crafted from original denim woven with Kurabo's uneven yarn, this baseball cap is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. Featuring 19 stitches on the brim, it stands as the most carefully made baseball cap in Japan. As the denim fades, the precision of the stitching becomes even more apparent, resembling the arrangement of garden stones—a subtle nod to Japanese artistry. The rugged texture of the brim, something you’ll feel every time you grab it, sets this cap apart from the rest.  

Its origins trace back to the 1930s when professional baseball teams first emerged. At the time, caps were made from thick, high-quality fabrics similar to those used in fine menswear. To maintain their shape, leather was sometimes layered beneath the brim, necessitating a dense stitch count to hold everything in place. Staying true to this heritage, DENIME entrusts a factory that still upholds these traditional techniques to craft their denim caps today.
